IMPORTANT GENERAL INFORMATION
◘ You must be a ticket holder attending Bass Coast 2018 in Merrit, BC, Canada and able to attend the event on Friday July 6th from 6:30-8:30pm at The Brain in order to submit
◘ Required fields are marked with an asterisk*
◘ We accept underground electronic music
◘ Each artist may submit one track
Only unreleased work that has never been posted publicly will be accepted.
Please DO NOT send tracks that can be found on Soundcloud, websites, Facebook, a label, etc, or work which has at any point been able to be found publicly on the internet or other means of distribution
◘ Each track must be submitted by a producer or an artist on the track
◘ Music must contain electronic elements. Tracks that consist of predominantly live instruments may not be accepted
◘ Songs are chosen based on a combination of creativity, production quality, diversity amongst other submissions and the inclusion of new submitters
PLease do this right now:
Rename your track's file name in this format: Artist name – Track name – Mix name.
ie: Joel West – It's Awake – Original Mix
TECHNICAL & LENGTH
◘ Please send us lossless formats: WAV or AIFF are great
◘ Suggested maximum track length: around 6 minutes max (we may fade out if longer)
◘ Please keep files under 100MB in size where possible (we don't need 96k bounces)
◘ Running through your own mastering chain is fine
◘ If there are overly large issues with your submission (mix waaaay out of balance, hi hat 10db too hot, etc) we may email you with suggested corrections. Waaaay is a technical term, coined by Groundwerk just now. All rights reserved
SELECTION
◘ Submitting does not guarantee selection
◘ We reserve the right to refuse inclusion of any material, ie hate speech
“OK, I READ ALL THAT, NOW I WANT TO SUBMIT”
◘ Please have your track named properly, in lossless format (WAV, AIFF)
◘ Put your track in a folder with your artist name on it in Dropbox or Google Drive, and copy the share folder link to paste later. You will send us this download link
◘ Please have 1-3 social media links ready (if you have them)
◘ Fill out the required fields below
◘ Click the Submit button, at the bottom left of the Submit page
◘ A small Thank You message will appear. Squint please
◘ Congrats, you have taken a bold step into a new world. Untz untz!
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY MUSIC AFTER AN EVENT
◘ All music submitted to Groundwerk Vancouver is protected by standard Canadian copyright laws and will not be distributed or duplicated without your permission
◘ If you said yes to Groundwerk posting your track to our social media channels, we MAY use it in the near future underneath Groundwerk content for Instagram, for example. Do not click yes if you do not wish us to use your music for social media
